Leading transport solutions provider, Octavius Infrastructure has been successfully appointed to the Eastern Routes Partnership (ERP) Framework for Network Rail Eastern Region for CP7. The Eastern Routes Partnership Framework aligns delivery partners to work collaboratively to deliver works in Buildings and Civils, Signalling and Telecoms, Distribution and Plant, and Contact Systems.
Octavius has secured a place on Lot 4a covering the Generalist scope of Distribution and Plant. Running for five years, from 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2029, the Framework has the option to be extended for up to an additional five years, to cover CP8 with an anticipated value for Lot 4a for CP7 of £154m-£222m.
Matt Smith, Managing Director Rail at Octavius Infrastructure said, “Our appointment to this framework continues to build on our strong relationship with Network Rail. With railway from the borders of Scotland to the nation’s capital, Eastern region is critical to the success of Britain, and Octavius are proud to be supporting the country’s vital infrastructure, connecting millions of people every day.”
The growth of Octavius in the rail electrification sector follows the recent mobilisation of the Southern Renewals Enterprise where the business will be undertaking Electrification and Plant works through CP7 and CP8 across the whole Southern Region. The electrification growth is also supported by their recent acquisition of Navitas Engineering Group who are leaders in electrification engineering, design and consultancy.
Louis Nel, Managing Director at Navitas Engineering Ltd said, “This framework provides us with another very important opportunity to work closely with our Octavius colleagues, using our combined capability to ensure that we focus on adding value and innovation through the design stage, supporting Network Rail in the delivery of safe and efficient outcomes.
This success also supports the Octavius decarbonisation agenda, being carbon neutral for direct emissions and committed to the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) and being fully Net Zero by 2035.
Matt Smith continued, “It is testament to the dedication of our staff, that this win quickly follows that of our North-West and Central (NW&C) Capital Delivery Framework appointment last month. Octavius have now secured frameworks in all four regions in England and Wales. We look forward to collaborating closely with Network Rail, our peers and our supply chain partners, to deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions that deliver true value to the travelling public.
