Octavius Regional Civil Engineering (ORCE) has secured its first project with Kier Transportation on the West Northamptonshire Major Projects Framework.
Mark Jacobs Project Manager at ORCE commented. “We are delighted to be commencing this project and looking forward to this opportunity becoming the start of a long-term and collaborative working relationship with the Kier team.
In this Scheme 3 project we will be upgrading the junction of Sandy Lane, Harleston Road and York Way. Our activities will be undertaken through four discrete phases over an eight-week programme. We will be widening the existing junctions to help ease traffic flow and realign footways and provide a safe maintenance bay on an existing roundabout.
Our work is a relatively small but important part of the Northampton Northwest Relief Road programme. The 1.5km relief road will link the A428 Harleston Road with the A5199 Welford Road. It will help to connect local communities, reduce congestion and enable much needed local housing development and subsequent economic growth.”
